Interested in learning and participating in the Stock Market? Want to compete for a chance to win $1,500? Want to receive $100 into a Wells Fargo savings account? 

If you answered “Yes” to at least two of the questions above, we encourage you to apply for the “Wells Fargo Junior Investment Program” sponsored by The 100 Black Men of American, Wells Fargo and SIFMA Foundation!

We are looking for at least 25 male or female high school students to participate in a 4-month long Stock Market Simulation Game. Students will be grouped in teams of two and will have the opportunity to invest $100,000 in simulated cash into the Stock Market.

Students will not only compete against their local classmates, but will compete against instructors and other students across the nation. Teams will be evaluated based on their ability to grow the $100,000 to the highest possible level between January and April. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a prize of $1,500, $750 and $500, respectively. 

Goals and Objectives

To provide education and awareness for youth around investing and the stock market.

To provide education and awareness for youth around the need of an emergency fund.

To encourage students to open up an investment account.

To be eligible for the program you must meet the following criteria:

Thoroughly completed the application process by the deadline

Commit to missing no more than 2 class sessions

Have access to the internet and be willing to utilize the camera feature on zoom

Be willing to work in teams

Must be in high school

This program is free to attend. Components, guidelines, expectations, requirements, and outcomes will be reviewed with participants and parents prior to program commencement.
